The world’s longest across ocean super bridge Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge(HZMB) has finished its main construction successfully on July 7th,2017 after 8-year long work and struggle. Linking Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao directly to be a super world new economy bay district, the overall 55km super bridge HZMB consists of bridge, artificial island and undersea tunnel. In the boundless ocean, two super artificial islands of each reaches 100 thousand square meters link with undersea tunnel and bridge, which together remains the core of the whole construction. Now the bridge deck pavement has been basically finished and the island-tunnel work gets into the last stage. The total area of 700 thousand square meters bridge deck pavement looks spectacular and fantastic with bidirectional six lanes laying there after cost one year long hard work.

Covering 100 thousand square meters, the west artificial island, one of the two artificial islands of super bridge HZMB main construction, is the first transfer station of island-tunnel. At present, all the basic work of the island has been finished with its accessory construction proceeding. It is predicted to be fully completed at the end of July. The cut-through of the west artificial island with the 6.7km undersea tunnel on July 7th,2017 remains a trademark of the achievement of the HZMB main construction. Artificial Island: Most technical difficulty. Biggest work quantities.  The work of Bridge-island-tunnel remains the most difficult in technology and the biggest construction quantities in the whole HZMB construction process. Its fast island forming technology of deep plugging steel barrel is first raised and used by the construction charger. After deep plugging the 120 giant steel barrels with diameters of 22.5 meters, height of 55 meters, and weight of 550 metric tons, it requires filling the earth into the barrels to form the artificial island. With a series of new R&D technologies put into practical use and cost only half a year long, the two super artificial islands have been finished, which creates a new world magic in construction. 

 Deep undersea tunnel: The longest, deepest impermeable tunnel in the world.  As the longest, deepest and most technology difficult tunnel all around the world, the 6.7km long undersea tunnel lie 48 meters deep the ocean, built by 33 tubes of each 180 meters long and one 12-meter long end tube weighting 6500 tons. The displacement of one tube is more than the giant aircraft carrier. The biggest displacement reaches more than 80 thousand tons. The invention patent and newly practical use patent are more than 400 cases during the island-tunnel construction. It is also the first time to make the undersea tunnel impermeable

Bridge: The longest lifespan with most strong anti-disaster ability.  The sea super dragon HZMB is able to withstand super typhoon with speed of 56m/s and 8 magnitude earthquake. Its design lifespan longs for 120 year, over 20 years than other across bridge around the world.

 How to save life and ask for help with hazards? It take only 5 to 7 minutes to reach the accident spot.   It is just 22.9km from Zhuhai port to the west artificial island. Getting into the deep tunnel of west artificial island and get out from east artificial island to Hong Kong. It is very fast to reach the accidents spot, according to the speed of 100km/h. The biggest functions of tunnels are save life and risks control.
